Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

Student Hours

Two students outside near school busesStudents may enter the building between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. There is no adult supervision for students prior to 7:30 a.m. Students who arrive between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. will be supervised in the cafeteria until it is time to report to their classrooms. Our school day officially begins at 8:00 a.m.; therefore, any students arriving after 8:00 a.m. are tardy. If your child arrives after 8:00 a.m., please park and enter the building to sign him/her in so he/she can receive a tardy pass. Please strive to have your children at school on time daily. It will help them develop a positive pattern and create independent students.

Morning Arrival for Car Riders

You may drop your child off at Battlefield Park Elementary School beginning at 7:30 a.m. The designated area for student drop off is in front of our school. A staff member will be present beginning at 7:30 a.m. to supervise students as they make their way into the building. We will help kindergarten students and those with special needs exit their vehicles. We encourage all other students to open the door closest to the sidewalk and walk on the Bobcat pawprints to ensure individual safety.

Notifying Staff of Changes in Afternoon Dismissal Plans

If you need to alter your child’s typical dismissal plan, please send a note to your child’s teacher in the morning. If an emergency arises and you need to make a last minute change, please call the school office at 723-3600 before 1:30 p.m. We will not accept an e-mail or text for transportation changes.

Early Dismissal for Appointments

If your child has a medical appointment that requires early dismissal, please complete and send in a note to make your child’s teacher and or our office staff aware. Parents who wish to pick their children up prior to our regular dismissal (2:20 p.m.) should plan to pick up him/her in the office before 2:00 p.m.
